Jesus challenges us today to be aware of what is going on inside our hearts.
It is from our hearts that good and bad intentions emerge and get played out. It is difficult but important to hear Jesus say, "This people honours me only with lip-service, while their hearts are far from me." We can all take some time to examine what motivates our actions in the light of that statement.
