The title is taken from this Sunday's second reading, Hebrews 4:12-13.
When we take time in prayer or when we are on retreat or simply reading or listening to the Scriptures, the power of God's Word can touch us in surprising, simple and extraordinary ways.
God sees us and loves us as we truly are, knows what we need breaking through our pretense and defenses.
"The word of God is something alive and active: it cuts like any double-edged sword but more finely: it can slip through the place where the soul is divided from the spirit, or joints from the marrow; it can judge the secret emotions and thoughts."
May God's Word inspire us and give us confidence in living out our lives modelled on Jesus.
