23 September 2004

Unfortunately, last week I ruptured my arcilles tendon and I will not be able to drive for 3 months. I guess it's time to write songs but not in the mood yet. Time for patience!!!

Before the injury, I had been in Auckland recording a couple of new songs and I am looking forward to hearing the final mix. After that I was in Wanganui conducting a music workshop for Church musicians. We had a great day together. It was good to have a time of sharing and to compare notes. My prayers and best wishes go out to you all.

Thankfully, I can still sing and I have had a few engagements around the local area. Everyone has been so kind and helpful from carrying my guitar to pushing the wheelchair.

One of my Marist confreres died a few days ago, Fr Jock Aitken, and I was invited to sing 'You make me feel this Way' at his vigil service. He was a lovely man and the words were really appropriate for him. Rest in Peace, Jock.
