Around 300 people attended an evening of prayer, candle lighting and song at St Patrick's Cathedral here in Auckland on Friday March 11th. It was a very beautiful and moving ceremony. Msgr Bernard Kiely lead a number of prayer intentions, for those who have died and those who have lost loved ones, for all those working in Emergency Services, those fearful and unable to sleep, those seriously injured to name a few and I connected the prayers to 7 songs with appropriate themes. A collection was taken up during the night to be forwarded to St Vincent de Paul and their efforts in supporting the people of Christchurch. Blessings on all those rebuilding their lives and prayerful support.
This coming week I am in Arrowtown and will be singing in the little Catholic Church there on Sunday 20th during the afternoon in support of Christchurch as well.
