21 October 2003

A few days ago, I recorded a song at a studio in Orewa with the support of Gray Bartlett. The song is called 'You raise me up' and will be released sometime before Christmas with one of my own compositions.

I was the guest at Dilworth Juniour Campus on Sunday leading a chapel service for Gibson House. I incorporated several of my songs. Thanks to Stuart Weightman for the invitation. The response of the boys and their families was very positive.

Thanks to Sr Sarto and all the team who organised the concert at St Peter and Paul's Lower Hutt on the 11th of October. We had a great night. Further concerts are being organised. An ecumenical evening is being held at St Hilda's Anglican Church, Upper Hutt on the 29th of November. The various churches in the area are being invited. An evening in Masterton is in the pipeline and a fundraising event is being organised for the local Catholic Primary School in Tauranga.

The Provincial of the Society of Mary, Denis O'Hagen asked me to write a song for the bi-centenary of the birth of St Peter Chanel. I completed the song today entitled 'We sing Chanel'. It will be featured in a package along with a painting and article produced by other Marists. I am hoping that those connected to St Peter Chanel will use the new song.
