Waiapu Anglican Festival

5 June 2007

During Queens Birthday weekend, I was invited to run a music workshop at the Waiapu Festival held in Napier and Hastings. Thanks to Bishop John Bluck for his invitation and to those who attended my workshop. I appreciated the welcome among you and the depth of your sharing. I came away uplifted and supported by you and the experience. I hope my songs continue to encourage and support you in your journey of faith. All the best for your continued music making and growth in prayer through music.

To Ray and Jan, thanks for your marvellous hospitality. I felt so at home and enjoyed the fun we had together. I have never been into a private home before with its very own pipe organ. Ray you are certainly passionate about your music!!! Long may it last. Congratulations Jan for all your efforts in making the weekend such a success. I look forward to catching up with you both again and meeting your sons and grandchildren. I was thrilled to know of the connection with them when they were school boys at St Johns when I was a teacher there. Jan keep the kettle on the ready with your famous biscuits. You never know when I might call.
