A couple of days ago I returned home from Melbourne. I caught up with family and attended the National Justice Festival in Ballarat initiated by the Marist Young Adults Ministry Team. I wish to express my thanks to Br Tony Clarke and all the team for your invitation to attend the Festival as a guest.
I was inspired in more ways than one not only by the guest presenters- Bishop Kevin Dowling (South Africa), Regina Lane and Mark Yettica Paulson(Australia) but by the many young people who attended the festival. Their commitment, energy and concern about issues of justice was uplifting. I wish to name in person my contact group who I had the privilege of getting to know and walking with over the days of festival- Jovial James, Perfect Pip, Colourful Chris, Jolly Jana, Neurotic Nathan and Musical Meg. Thanks for welcoming me and introducing me to your friends.
I attended the festival with Simon and Natalie from Challenge 2000 and teamed up with several other Kiwis from Blenheim. It was great to be able to compare notes as the festival progressed. I have posted a few photos of the festival in the photo section of my site. You might like to check them out.
Special thanks to Bishop Kevin, Regina and Mark for your input, stories and experience. I come away not so concerned about success and results but treasuring them when they do come. Continued blessings in who you are and all you do!!!!
Greetings to all the young people who attended the festival. All the best for the coming year in your various places- wonderful to have shared this special time with you. Keep positive, hopeful and the best you can be.
